Jailbreak Ban Jail
The Ban Jail (often referred to as The Cage or The Void Cell) is a secluded, inescapable location in Jailbreak intended solely for players who have been detected by the game's anti-cheat system. Unlike the regular Prison cells, there are no doors, vents, or explodable walls in the Ban Jail.
Players sent here are usually stripped of their inventory and unable to interact with the rest of the server. It serves as a "soft ban" state or a holding area before a kick or permanent ban is issued.
Location & Design
The Ban Jail is physically located far beneath the main map, often described as being inside the "Void". It consists of a small, floating platform surrounded by four walls of standard prison bars. The floor is a cold concrete texture, and the lighting is notably dimmer than the rest of the world.
Because it is located outside the rendering distance of the main city, players inside cannot see the city, nor can players in the city see the cage without using free-cam hacks.
Mechanics
- Teleportation: When the anti-cheat flags a player for speed-hacking or noclip, the server script immediately teleports their Character Model to the center of the cage.
- Parachute Disabled: To prevent glitching out, parachutes are disabled within the region.
- Reset Prevention: In earlier versions, resetting one's character would simply respawn them back in the cage.
- Chat: Banned players can sometimes still use the chat, leading to confusion among other players who see messages from someone who isn't on the map.
Trivia
- There is an easter egg texture on the bottom of the cage platform that simply says "RIP".
- YouTubers have attempted to break into the cage using glitches, but it is extremely difficult due to the kill-zones surrounding the void.
- The cage model is actually the same asset used for the solitary confinement cells in the maximum security prison, just reused in a different location.
